We humans, experience different seasons in our life journey, where we fall, we get back up, we understand on what situations and people we have to put our energy and the most important , learning from our own experiences ( in the best scenario). I understand one but a big thing: we should have faith that we will get back up after every rough season. And every season of our life come with plenty more opportunities, so we can grow.

It’s important to understand that we don’t have to seek happiness, but fulfillment. Happiness is a temporary feeling based on external things and this feeling cannot be lived forever, but fulfillment can- because come from inside.

For example, you finally bought the most precious thing you wished for, and after that in short time the dopamine level goes down- then you will want another big thing just to achieve the happy feeling. Most of the people think that they must reach milestones in life: like a great job, a marriage, a kid, a big house, in order to feel fulfilled. And don’t get me wrong, I believe and work for these milestones- but I always knew that out there is something much bigger than the material and external things.

Actually these kind of milestones contribute to fulfillment but the real milestone is discovering the meaning of your life and we should become part of something bigger than material things.

By 30, we should know what our values and passions are are. We should not be afraid to step out of the box and follow that values, because knowing and feeling who you really are may be imperative if we want to reach that fulfillment feeling.

And like that: knowing what my values and passions are, helped me to interact with them more effectively and in different ways. From writing more texts, taking more pictures, going to different classes to learn more things about the psychology field or meeting new amazing people.

And knowing what your passions are hobbies are, and literally remaining committed to them, also can help you to reach fulfillment in life.

Determining our set of values or passions, can take time, but it’s ok- time is our best friend when we don’t rush through it. We should ask ourselves what is most important for us in life? Arriving at this answer maybe will take days, months or years but you’ll get it and you’ll know one day what you really want.

One more thing, fulfillment brings calmness and the good news is that out there, are an abundance of opportunities to find fulfillment not only happiness.
